The long-awaited sequel to the 1996 golf comedy classic is finally coming to Netflix this summer, bringing back original cast members alongside some surprising new faces.

Julie Bowen, who played love interest Virginia Venit in the first film, recently revealed she never expected to be part of the sequel. "When I first heard about it, I thought 'Well I won't be in it,' and that was okay," Bowen told The Hollywood Reporter. "After all, Virginia's story was thirty years ago..."

The Modern Family star got an unexpected heads-up about the project from her teenage son. "Before anyone officially told me about the sequel, my now 18-year-old said 'Mom, I hear they're doing a follow-up with Sydney Sweeney as a cart girl.'"

Bowen shared a hilarious encounter with Bad Bunny during filming: "Seeing him on set I just froze - 'Oh no, I can't actually look you in the eye!' So I walked away... which probably offended him. Then when I tried to explain it later? Made everything worse!" The actress joked about her tendency to fangirl: "I'm exactly why people shouldn't meet their heroes - total jackass behavior."
