The UAE's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are proving their mettle once again, demonstrating remarkable adaptability in the face of economic challenges. While navigating rising operational costs, corporate tax implementation, and higher borrowing expenses, these business powerhouses continue to chart a course of steady growth and optimism.
RAKBank's newly released SME Confidence Index paints an encouraging picture for the sector. The comprehensive study, conducted in collaboration with RFI Global, surveyed more than 1,200 UAE-based SMEs between October and December 2024. The results show an overall confidence score of 57 - a slight dip from last year's 61 but still comfortably above the neutral benchmark of 50.
