The artist formerly known as Kanye, who legally adopted the moniker "Ye" in 2018, now appears to be embracing an extended version of that name. Official California business documents obtained by entertainment sources reveal references to "Ye Ye" in connection with several of the star's ventures.

Corporate paperwork for Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label, and Ox Paha Inc. all feature this intriguing new variation of the artist's name. The designation appears in official capacity listings where CFO Hussain Lalani identifies West (or should we say Ye Ye?) as a key company figure.

While this development suggests another evolution in the creative visionary's public persona, it remains uncertain whether a formal legal name change has been processed. California law requires such changes to be announced publicly through newspaper notices before judicial approval - a step that hasn't yet surfaced regarding this latest naming development.

The Grammy-winner has previously explained his naming choices as deeply symbolic. When transitioning from Kanye to Ye six years ago, he referenced biblical meanings: "'Ye' means 'you' - so I'm you, I'm us," he told reporters at the time. "It went from Kanye meaning 'the only one' to just Ye - reflecting all of us."

This philosophy extended to his musical work when he titled his eighth studio album simply "Ye," describing it as capturing universal human energies and contradictions. "I wanted something that matched what the universe was giving me," he explained during promotional interviews.

The naming update coincides with other recent shifts in West's digital presence. On May 31st via X (formerly Twitter), where he still maintains @kanyewest despite no longer using that full name professionally, he announced plans to create a new account under simply "@ye."
