Want better loans? Check your UAE credit score
Finance
A good credit score opens doors to important financial opportunities, making it easier to secure loans, credit cards, and other financial products. For just Dh10.50, you can check your score and gain a clear understanding of your creditworthiness.
Your credit score is a number that reflects your credit history and your ability to repay loans and meet financial obligations. Think of it as a financial report card that shows how reliable you are when it comes to managing money.
Why Your Credit Score Matters A high credit score gives you confidence when applying for loans, mortgages, credit cards, or other financial services. It can also help you secure better interest rates, making it easier to rent or buy a home. On the other hand, late or missed payments on credit cards, loans, utility bills (like DEWA or SEWA), and postpaid mobile plans (for example, Etisalat or Du) are reported to the Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB). Frequent missed payments over time can significantly lower your score, and even small oversights—like forgetting a rent payment, phone bill, or an old bank account—can have lasting effects.
How to Access Your Credit Score and Report You can check your credit score easily through the AECB website or app:
Visit aecb.gov.ae or download the AECB app (available on iOS and Android).
Sign in using your UAE Pass or register/log in with your Emirates ID and a valid email or phone number. You may need to verify your identity via a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
Choose the Credit Score Report option.
Pay the fee: approximately Dh10.50 for the score alone, or Dh84 for the full credit report (including VAT).
Receive your credit score instantly in PDF format.
Some UAE banks also allow you to view your AECB score directly through their mobile banking app or online banking platforms. Examples include Emirates NBD, Mashreq, ADCB, and RAKBANK, though availability may vary.
Other Convenient Options:
TAMM: Access your credit report and score by logging in with UAE Pass.
DubaiNow: Download the DubaiNow app, log in with UAE Pass, and check your credit health instantly.
Your credit score isn’t just a number—it’s a key factor that shapes your financial future. By knowing your score and actively maintaining it, you can take control of your financial health, make smarter money decisions, and unlock more opportunities in the UAE.
