For twenty years, The Mind Cafe's main location at 60A Prinsep Street has served as a beloved gathering spot for friends and family to enjoy board games for countless hours.

However, the store will be closing its doors on May 23, as announced in an Instagram post on April 17.

"This has never just been a shop — it's where friendships were formed over games of Monopoly, where first dates blossomed into lifelong relationships, and where many of you discovered a true 'home away from home'," the team expressed.

"Every laugh, every game, and every memory within these walls has shaped who we are today."

But this is not the end for The Mind Cafe, as it is set to "level up" by relocating all its operations to a larger outlet just a short distance from the flagship store.

"This bigger space is designed to unite our community on a grander scale, offering more room, a wider variety of games, and an even better social gaming experience," the team elaborated.

The Mind Cafe is also encouraging the public to visit the flagship store before its final operating day.

Additionally, they are hosting a giveaway where participants can win four two-hour gaming sessions at the new mega outlet.

To enter, participants must post their favorite photo taken at the flagship store over the past 21 years, follow and tag @themindcafe_sg on Instagram, like the giveaway post, and use the official contest hashtag #Farewell60A.

The contest will run until May 22, with 10 winners selected based on creativity and nostalgia, and results announced on May 25. "The games aren't stopping — they’re just moving to a bigger table. Let's make this final month legendary," the team encouraged.
